A Dallas native, Dr. John Porter's roots in Texas run deep. His passion for science and medicine led him to Colorado State University, where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a degree in Microbiology, before earning his Medical Degree from The University of Texas Medical School at Houston. He completed his pediatric residency and served as Chief Resident at the renowned Children's Medical Center of Dallas, focusing on infectious diseases.

Dr. Porter is board certified in pediatrics and is dedicated to exceeding all requirements for Continuing Medical Education to ensure he provides the most current care. For him, pediatrics isn't just a profession—it's a calling. He cherishes the time he spends with each family, building the personal relationships that lead to better health outcomes. When he's not in the office, Dr. Porter enjoys the outdoors, especially fishing, and loves traveling and spending time with his wife, Cindy, their daughters, and their precious grandbabies.

Laura Galloway, MD

Dr. Laura Galloway joined our practice in 2012, bringing a wonderful blend of sharp intellect and gentle compassion. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Dallas with a degree in English before pursuing her Medical Degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. Dr. Galloway also completed her pediatric residency at Children’s Medical Center Dallas, where she later worked in the Emergency Department.

Board certified in pediatrics, Dr. Galloway has a special interest in breastfeeding medicine, offering invaluable support to new mothers. As a mother who homeschools her own four children, she is a passionate advocate for gentle, respectful parenting. Outside of the office, Dr. Galloway loves gardening, cooking plant-based meals, reading great books, and spending time outdoors with her husband, Greg, and their children.
