Laura Galloway, MD

Pediatrician | Richardson, TX

About Dr. Galloway

Dr. Laura Galloway brings something rare to pediatric medicine — the kind of warmth that puts a nervous toddler at ease, paired with the clinical sharpness that earns a parent's lasting trust. Since joining the practice in 2012, she has become an integral part of the care families in Richardson count on.

Her path to medicine began with a love of ideas. Dr. Galloway graduated magna cum laude from the University of Dallas with a degree in English — a foundation that shaped her into a careful listener and a thoughtful communicator. She went on to earn her Medical Degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, then completed her pediatric residency at Children's Medical Center Dallas, where she also gained valuable experience working in the Emergency Department.

Care & Experience

Since 2012, Dr. Galloway has cared for infants, children, and adolescents — from birth up to age 18 — with the same attentiveness she brings to every appointment. Her scope of care includes newborn care, well-child visits, immunizations, and developmental screenings, as well as the management of acute illnesses and chronic conditions that require ongoing support and guidance.

She is particularly passionate about the earliest days of a child's life. Her special interest in breastfeeding medicine allows her to offer meaningful support to new mothers navigating newborn care — a time when knowledgeable, compassionate guidance makes all the difference.

Whether she is performing sports physicals, addressing adolescent medicine concerns, or walking a family through a preventative care plan, Dr. Galloway approaches each visit with the same intention: to truly know the child in front of her. For families with questions after hours, the practice's after-hours nurse advice line ensures that support remains available when it's needed most.

Care Philosophy

Dr. Galloway is a passionate advocate for gentle, respectful parenting — a conviction she holds both professionally and personally, as a mother who homeschools her own four children. She believes that pediatric care is most effective when it honors the whole child and the whole family, building relationships rooted in trust, patience, and open dialogue.

For her, every well-child visit is more than a routine checkup — it is an opportunity to listen, to learn, and to be a steady, reassuring presence through every season of a child's growth.

Beyond the Office

When she is not in the office, Dr. Galloway can be found in her garden, cooking plant-based meals, or lost in a great book. She cherishes her time outdoors with her husband, Greg, and their four children — living, in many ways, the same values she brings to her patients every day.
